MEXICAN TACOS
tacos shells
Ingredients:-
1 cup wheat flour
1 cup maize flour
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp chilly powder
1 tsp oil
salt as per taste
For filling
250 gm paneer ( cottage cheese) cut into small pieces
2 small onions finely chopped
2 tomatoes finely chopped
1 green bell pepper finely chopped
2 tsp red chilly powder
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp jeera powder
1 tsp kasuri methi
salt as per taste
Make a smooth dough by all the ingredients mentioned for tacos. Keep it aside for half an hour
Then take a small portion of this dough and roll it with the help of rolling pin. The size should be as of puri we make at home and then poke it with the help of fork
Fry on medium flame as soon as it is fried nicely take out on a paper napkin and immediately put the rolling pin in between and press from both the sides
In this way make the tacos from the remaining dough
For filling
take oil in a pan put onion fry till its golden brown then add chopped tomatoes then add all the spices except kasuri methi cover it with lid and let it cook for 5 min on low gas
open the lid mix all the ingredients by slightly mashing the tomatoes and then add cottage cheese pieces and finely kasuri methi
Take taco shells put the filling inside it and then garnish it with cheese
